Min: Imports substitution in car components to cost 200 bln rbl

KOSTROMA, Aug 21 (PRIME) – Russia’s imports substitution program in the car component industry for the entire duration from 2018 through 2027 will amount to about 200 billion rubles, with 70% of the sum to be spent until 2024, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters on Friday.

“We drafted the program several years ago, and the total amount of imports substitution in car components stands at about 200 billion rubles. It comprises different sources, including financing from companies, debt, and budget co-financing that we will provide as direct, as repayable finds, and money from the industry development fund,” he said.

The program was launched in 2018, and some of the sum has already been spent. “The program is calculated until 2027, and 70% of the sum will be allocated from different sources until 2024, with the remaining money to be spent until 2027,” he said.
